These terms and conditions apply to consumers clients.

All products sold on Laatikkokauppa.fi online shop are sold by Carmi Oy, business-id FI23438195. Laatikkokauppa is part of Carmi Oy.

All Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy’s wooden products are hand made in Tuusula, Finland. All our wooden products have Key Flag symbol and Design from Finland -mark.

All product and shipping prices include Finnish VAT 24 %.

ORDERING

Easiest way of making purchases from Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy is to order and pay the products through laatikkokauppa.fi online shop.

You choose the items for purchase by searching the shop, add them to cart and pay for it on checkout.

You do not have to register as a user in order to make a purchase but registering will ease any purchases made in the future.

To make a purchase you must provide a name, delivery address, phone number and e-mail address. These are needed to ensure the delivery of the purchased item.

Products are delivered by Postnord. We will send you the tracking ID for the shipment as an email and/or sms message. This will allow you to track the delivery of your package.

If the purchase through online shop is unavailable you can also make the order via e-mail at laatikkokauppa@laatikkokauppa.fi or by call to Tapanila shop +358 44 987 0242.

If a product you would like to order is currently out-of-stock please contact us through our contact form or e-mail. We will make the product for you. If it is impossible to produce the exact item, we will produce a similar one. Most of our products are unique as is.

All products with Custom Made mention are made to order. The production of these products will not start before the purchase has been made.

Production and delivery time of all custom made products is approximately 2-3 weeks depending on the number of the items ordered.

Ordering and purchasing is safe because all monetary transactions and information transfer between the online shop and the payment facilitator Bambora are crypted.

Any customer details are never handed over to any third parties.

Orders made by persons who are under 18 years of age must provide a confirmation of the order from their legal guardian. Credit card purchases are available to only persons over 18 years of age.

CUSTOM MADE PRODUCTS

We produce a lot of custom made products made to your dreams. They, too, can be ordered and paid through our online shop.

Contact the shop owner Kirsi Pitkänen via our contact form, E-mail or phone call, her contact information is mentioned above.

You can send drafts or idea photos with the contact to help the shop owner to understand your wishes properly.

You can send the photos attached to the contact form, E-mail, on a message on Facebook (through Laatikkokauppa’s Facebook page) or WhatsApp or as multimedia SMS message.

The shop owner will contact you as soon as possible once she has received your request for custom made product.

At this point all details of the custom made order are discussed to ensure the product being exactly what you wish. Then the price of the custom made order is agreed upon.

Once all these details have been agreed upon the your custom made product is created as an item to the online shop where you can make the purchase and choose your preferred delivery method.

Production time of all custom made products is approximately 2-3 weeks depending on the number of the items ordered. Shipping takes usually 3-7 days in Finland. Shipping time outside Finland depends on the destination.

All custom made products are made to order. All custom made products have three (3) day alteration and cancellation deadline after the custom made product is paid for. Reimbursement is not possible if cancellation is not done by the deadline.

Only if the product has a clearly visible material flaw that is informed to Laatikkokauppa immediately once the order has been delivered a reimbursement can be made.

You will receive guidelines for making the custom product order alteration or cancellation with the purchase confirmation.

Toimitukset hoitaa pääosin Suomessa Postnord tai Matkahuolto ja pohjoismaat ja muu eurooppa Postnord. Tuotteet lähetetään pääosin muutaman kerran viikossa. Laatikkokauppa saattaa vaihtaa pakettitoimittajaa paketin koon, painon, sisällön tai muusta vastaavasta syystä (varoen käsiteltävä, lavarahti, extrapainava jne), toimitukset kuitenkin lähimpään noutopisteeseen tai kotiin tilauksen mukaisesti.

PAYMENTS

Bambora PayForm (Paybyway Oy, business-id FI24865594) is the payment facilitator of Laatikkokauppa.fi online shop.

The Paybyway Oy is a payment facilitator authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Finland. The payment process is conducted in the online service of the Bambora. Bambora or Paybyway Oy is shown as the payment received in the bank account listing and in the invoice. Paying with Bambora is safe. All information is exchanged through secured connections.

The trade happens between the online customer and Laatikkokauppa online shop. Laatikkokauppa shop is responsible for all obligations related to the trade.

Payment methods

With Bambora PayForm you can pay your order by an internet banking account, a wallet, a payment card (credit/debit), an invoice or a partial payment. The following methods of payment are supported: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, MobilePay, Masterpass, Visa-, Visa Debit-, Visa Electron-, MasterCard- and Debit MasterCard payment cards, Jousto and Mash.

MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have allowed online payments in the settings of the MobilePay application. Payment via MobilePay takes place directly from the payment card linked to MobilePay. If charging the payment from the linked card fails, MobilePay can not be used in the online shop.

Jousto: With Jousto invoice and part-payment you can pay in over 4000 online shop in Finland. With Jousto invoice, you get 14 days payment time (invoice fee 4,90 eur). With Jousto part-payment, you get max 12 months payment time (invoice fee 4,90 eur and monthly interest rate 2,42%). More information: www.jousto.com

Mash: Mash invoice and part-payment is available to over 20 years old consumers having a permanent address in Finland. The part-payment is invoiced every 30 days. For example, annualized percentage rate for a 2000 eur credit is 14,9 % when the payment term is 24 months. The total price is 2302,79 eur (incl. interest rate, invoicing fee, opening fee).

Euroloan Consumer Finance Oyj (2159120-9) is a Finnish financing institution operating since 2007. Euroloan Consumer Finance Oyj reserves a right to review the credibility and the address information of consumers using Mash invoice or part-payment. The consumer is also requested the provide the personal id number. The credit is approved or declined based on this review. Enterpay-invoice for businesses:

Your company can request an invoice by an electronic invoice or by e-mail (.pdf invoice). The payment term is 14 days. Your company can authorize certain persons to make purchases and manage the purchases easily with an online service. Your company can track purchases by using the online service. 14 DAYS EXCHANGE AND RETURN RIGHT

We are humans, too, and we get it that sometimes you just don’t want the product you ordered, and changing your mind is ok.

Customer satisfaction is important to us.

If for some reason the product you were delivered from us isn’t what you ordered you can ask us to change it to another product or return it within 14 days of receiving the product.

Please note that the exchange and return right does not apply to custom made products.

Inform us about your wish to return and/or exchange the product via our contact for or by E-mail to laatikkokauppa@laatikkokauppa.fi or kirsi.pitkanen@carmi.fi.

Guidelines for making returns and/or cancellations are included in the purchase confirmation you receive once the purchase is done in our online shop.

Reimbursement of your purchase deducted with the return costs is made either directly to your bank account or the payment method you used to make the purchase after we have received the returned item.

Do not return products to us in any case by cash on delivery or unpaid return. These deliveries will not be redeemed thus meaning that you will not get reimbursed.

Customer return packages are usually slow and take 2-14 working days to arrive. We will make the reimbursement immediately once the returned product is received and the return has been confirmed by e-mail by us.

Exchangeable products are sent once we have received the product you wish to exchange from you.

UNREDEEMED PACKAGE IS NOT A RETURN

Please be considerate and either redeem the product you ordered or let us know if you wish to cancel your order.

We charge an addition 20€ cancellation fee for all unredeemed deliveries.

If you face a tough situation in your personal life that collides with the order or delivery, please let us know. Everything can be agreed upon.

GIVEAWAYS AND CAMPAING PRODUCTS

There are no free lunches.

In the case of return you must also return all giveaways or additional campaign products you received with the order that included them.

You can however redeem the giveaway and campaing items with the list price valid at the time of purchase. If you choose to redeem the items the cost is deducted from the reimbursement.

REIMBURSEMENTS

It takes a while for the reimbursements to be processed.

Finnish consumer protection law states that all reimbursements must be made within 14 days from receiving the cancellation notice.

All reimbursements are processed by Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy immediately once the returned item is received by us within 14 days after receiving the cancellation notice and the returned product is confirmed to be in a resellable condition.

Reimbursement of your purchase deducted with the return costs is made either directly to your bank account or the payment method you used to make the purchase after we have received the cancellation notice and the returned item(s).

CUSTOMER LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible keeping the product essentially unchanged and unharmed until you have decided to keep it.

Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy reserves the right to deduct the impairment from the reimbursement either partly or in full if the product is not returned as it was upon delivery.

 

PRODUCT GUARANTEE

Sometimes a product is faulty but it is noticed only once it is in use. If a product we have made breaks under normal use, please let us know. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy reserves the right to primarily exchange the faulty product to a flawless one.

Misusing the products against the recommended or specifically stated uses will expire the guarantee immediately.

This means for example that if products meant for indoor use are used outdoors, where none of the products made by Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy apart from Lautatarha™ are not designed for, they will not be reimbursed.

PRODUCT PACKAGING AND DAMAGES INFLICTED DURING SHIPPING

We pack our products for shipping with as ecologically as possible. With fragile products we are forced to use some plastic and extra materials to ensure the product will reach you intact.

We use recyclable materials as much as possible. Thus do not be alarmed if your order is delivered in a box that has the name of some other business – the insides of the package is what counts!
We wish you recycle the packaging materials or use them further.

Damages to the products inflicted by or during shipping are rare.

However, if the delivery package has been clearly damaged during shipping please contact us immediately. Provide us also a photo of the damaged package. This is important to recognise the point of delivery where the damage happened.

GOVERNING LAW

Contracts between customer and Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy are governed by Finnish Law. Laatikkokauppa Carmi Oy follows the recommendations of the Finnish Consumer Authority.

Any disputes arising from the agreement will be resolved primarily through negotiation.

However, if the dispute cannot be settled via negotiation, the dispute will be submitted to ordinary court proceedings, with the District Court of Helsinki as the court of first instance.

A consumer customer is entitled to take legal action in the general court of first instance whose judicial district includes the Customer’s domicile in Finland. A consumer customer is also entitled to file a complaint with the Consumer Disputes Board (http://www.kuluttajariita.fi/en/) to resolve the dispute.

Before contacting the Consumer Disputes Board customer should contact their local Consumer Advisory Services (https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice/).

FORCE MAJURE

The following circumstances must be considered force majeure if they prevent the fulfilment of product deliveries or make it unreasonably difficult: labour conflicts and all other circumstances that the contracting parties cannot influence, such as unexpected changes in labour, fire, war or mobilisation, requisition, confiscation, exchange restrictions, mutiny, power cuts, and telecommunications and/or Internet traffic failure. Laatikkokauppa is freed from their obligations and liability for damages for the duration of the force majeure.

The existence, cause, and ending of a force majeure situation is immediately communicated to the other contracting party by e-mail or otherwise in writing. Laatikkokauppa may announce a force majeure situation also on Laatikkokauppa.fi online shop.

As we are just humans here in Laatikkokauppa too and we’re running a very small business, something unexpected can happen that will make it difficult for us to fill our obligations. In the case of such event we will contact all our clients as soon as possible.

4. Purpose of processing personal information

The personal information is processed as a contact and customer register of natural persons who have made a purchase on Laatikkokauppa.fi online store. The information is used for maintenance and management of the customer relationship, invoicing, debt collection and marketing surveys. Direct marketing is done only via email mailing list that the customer has to register themselves and the data for mailing list is not used on any other purposes.

No information is handed over to any third parties.

8. Protection principles for the register

The registered is protected against third-party access. A username and password are required for logging in to the system. Only employees involved in processing the personal information have access to the register. These are the show owner Kirsi Pitkänen, shop assistant and the carpenter who makes the products. The employees are under an obligation of secrecy as regards the information in the register.

9. Inspection of the register information

The persons included in the register are entitled to check their information in the register once a year free of charge.

In order to do this, they must send a written, personally signed request to the registrar or visit the registrar in person. The registrar shall allow these persons to view their information in the register without undue delay and shall provide the information in writing if so requested.

10. Right to prohibit delivery and correct information

The persons included in the register are entitled to stop using the Laatikkokauppa.fi’s online shop at any time and thus prohibit all direct marketing or communications related to Laatikkokauppa. In this case, the registrar shall remove all personal information related to said persons from the register. The notice of termination can be delivered to the person responsible for register issues, indicated in Section 2 of this document, either by e-mail or by post.

The persons included in the register are entitled to demand correction of an incorrect piece of information in the register. The correction request must be made in writing, and the piece of information to be corrected must be specified. The correction request must be delivered to the person responsible for register issues, indicated in Section 2 of this document.
